Pro tip: I started tracking how long every task takes at our shop and it showed me where our week was leaking
Three weeks ago I started writing down start and stop times for every job at our 6 person print shop in Sacramento, just on a clipboard, nothing fancy. Turned out we were burning about 9 hours a week just walking back and forth to the one laminator because nobody wanted to move it. We moved it next to the cutter on a Tuesday and the next week we got two extra jobs out the door. I still write the times down every day, takes like 5 minutes total. Anybody else do simple time tracking like this, or did you use some app that made it easier?

Man the laminator thing hits home, we had the same deal with our only stapler being across the shop from the collator. Nobody wanted to be the one to move it so we all just ate the walk time for months. Good on you for actually writing it down instead of just guessing.
