Sat through a vendor demo in Chicago that was all buzzwords and no substance

They kept saying "synergy" and "scalable solutions" for 45 minutes without once explaining how their system actually processed our data. Has anyone else ever walked out of a B2B sales pitch feeling like you knew less than when you walked in?

My buddy sat through one where the presenter kept saying "we leverage our ecosystem" like 15 times. He asked what that actually meant and the guy just repeated the same thing slower. He almost stood up and left right there.

Not gonna lie @brooke71, I saw a similar thing on LinkedIn last week where some consultant was giving a talk about "synergy" and someone finally yelled out "just tell me what you sell." The presenter couldn't even pivot, just stood there frozen. Corporate jargon is like a shield for people who don't actually know their own business. Your buddy was right to want to walk out.

Walking out might be a bit dramatic but I get the urge. These vendor pitches have turned into word salad contests where nobody actually says anything. Have heard way too many sales reps rattle off "scalable" and "solutions" like it means something. A simple "here's how our software moves your data from point A to point B" would clear up half the mess. But honestly, if you can get a straight answer by just staring them down and asking "what does that actually do" three times in a row, most of them will crack.
