Tried a new inventory system with barcode scanners and my stock count got worse by 15% in the first month

I switched to a cloud-based barcode system for my warehouse in Denver, but the scanners kept misreading labels on wrinkled boxes so my counts went from 98% accurate to 83% and now I'm wondering if I should switch back to manual counting or just buy better label printers, has anyone else dealt with scanner calibration issues?

Honestly, are you sure it's a scanner calibration issue and not just the label quality? I mean, if your boxes are wrinkled and the labels are peeling or creased, no scanner in the world is gonna read them right. Like you said, better label printers might fix the whole thing without any software headaches. Manual counting is just gonna take way longer and still have human error.

Wait, are we blaming the scanners or my complete inability to fold a box flat?
