Tried Monday.com over Trello for my small shop and it's night and day
I run a 5 person operation in Austin and used Trello for about 2 years. Switched to Monday.com last quarter and the difference in tracking inventory orders is huge. Trello just couldn't handle our supplier timelines and shipping delays without me adding tons of extra columns. Has anyone else seen better results with a paid tool over a free one?

Used to be a Trello diehard myself (free tier, obviously) and thought paying for a project tool was a waste of money. But your post got me thinking about how much time I wasted making Trello work for stuff it's not built for. Adding custom fields and automations on Monday.com sounds like it actually solves the inventory tracking problem instead of just pushing it around. Might have to give it a real shot now, even if it hurts my wallet a little.

allen.cole you're about to learn the hard way that "free" usually just means your time is the real cost (and nobody pays us for that, right?). Trello is great for like, organizing your groceries or planning a birthday party but for actual business stuff it just falls apart the second you need anything slightly complex. The first time Monday.com automatically recalculated my supplier lead times without me touching a single column, I almost wanted to send them a thank you card. Plus the inventory tracking thing - it actually tells you when stuff is late instead of you having to dig through three different boards to figure it out.
