Three years of wrong addresses? That's a staggering amount of lost packages and customer complaints. I can't even imagine the scale of that problem or the money it must have cost. What finally made the fix click after all that time?

That "what finally made the fix click" part is so real. It's like when you keep tripping over the same rug for months and only move it after you actually fall. We get used to the little daily messes, the broken process at work, the squeaky door. You just work around it until the cost, like all those lost packages, gets too big to ignore. It's never about finding a new solution, it's finally admitting the old one is broken.

Ha, yeah the rug thing is perfect. But here's the thing nobody mentions - sometimes the "fix" is just admitting you've been doing stupid workarounds for so long that actually fixing it feels like cheating. You feel guilty for not suffering through it anymore.
