Everyone pushed me to buy a band saw, I stuck with my hand saw and my yield went up
Bought a used Hobart 6614 band saw back in March for $1,800 because every guy in my shop swore it would cut my labor in half. Ran 40 whole beef loins through both ways over two weeks. The band saw left more ragged edges and I was trimming off more scrap to clean them up than I ever did with my 10 inch breaker. Sold it in June and went back to the hand saw. Anyone else find that the slow way actually gives a better cut on certain jobs?
