Hit 200 custom sausage links this week and I'm honestly shocked I didn't mess up more
I've been keeping a tally on the back of my apron for about 6 months and 200 seems like a lot but now I'm paranoid I miscounted, anyone else do this or am I just weird about keeping track?

Wait, did you actually check your tally against the sausage count or just trust the apron math? I did the same thing with pizza boxes back when I worked at this place, kept a running tally on a napkin in my back pocket. After like 300 boxes I realized I'd been counting double shifts as separate days and I was actually way off. Ended up finding little scraps of napkin all over my laundry for weeks. The only reason I stopped was one day my boss asked why I smelled like pepperoni and old receipts, pretty sure he thought I was having a mental breakdown.

Oh man, that hits close to home. I totally get the whole napkin tally thing - I've done similar with receipts stuffed in my wallet for way too long. It's crazy how easy it is to mess up those mental counts when you're just trying to keep up during a busy shift. The pizza box thing is hilarious though, double shifts counting as separate days is exactly the kind of mistake I'd make too. Your boss probably just thought you were dedicated to the craft or something, not having a breakdown over pepperoni math.
