Hit my 30 year mark as a butcher last Tuesday and it felt weird

I started cutting meat when I was 19 at a shop in Portland. Last week I hit 30 years total in the trade and honestly I didn't know how to feel about it. That's over 10,000 whole animals I've broken down by my count. Has anyone else hit a milestone that just snuck up on them without warning?

Buddy of mine hit 25 years as a mechanic last month. Said he cried in his truck.

Bet that wasn't even about the hard work, it was realizing he'd never get those 25 years back.
