PSA: I saw a guy in a Boise shop use a hacksaw to cut through a frozen pork shoulder.

He was trying to save time but ended up with jagged, uneven pieces and wasted a good chunk of meat. I've always stuck with my band saw for frozen cuts, but it got me thinking about other methods. What's the fastest way you've found to break down frozen product without messing up the meat?

Wait, he just went at a frozen pork shoulder with a regular hacksaw? That's wild lol. I can't even imagine the metal shavings and grit that got everywhere. My band saw blade would probably snap if I tried that.

Yeah I've seen a guy try that with a frozen rib roast once, total disaster. Cleaver and mallet is the move if you don't have a band saw handy, just gotta be careful with bone splinters.
