PSA: My new $500 band saw blade lasted about 20 minutes
Bought a fancy, extra-hard blade from a brand called 'Talon Edge' for a big pork breakdown job. It snapped clean in half on the first rib cage, sending a piece flying into a bucket of lard. Anyone know a good, tough blade that can handle a full side without drama?

My last "premium" blade quit on a chicken spine. Sometimes the fancy stuff is just marketing. I've had good luck with the basic ones from the farm supply store, they're ugly but they bend instead of breaking.

Yeah, @nathan545 is onto something. See it with tools all the time. The expensive drill with all the lights and modes burns out its motor. The old, heavy one from a garage sale just keeps going. It's that simple toughness. Marketing adds a lot of cost for stuff you don't need. A basic thing that works is better than a fancy thing that breaks.
