Rant: spent 20 minutes arguing with a customer over 2 ounces of ribeye
Had a guy come in Saturday wanting exactly 14 ounces of ribeye for a dinner party, and I cut him a beautiful 16 ounce piece because it was the end of the loin. He got upset and said I was trying to rip him off, so I offered to trim it down or just charge him for 14. He picked the trim, then watched me like a hawk while I took the cap off. After all that he said the trimmed piece looked smaller than the other steaks in the case, so I just gave him the whole 16 for the price of 14 to get him out the door. Any of you ever deal with customers who count ounces like they're weighing gold?
