Used to break down pork shoulders with a cleaver, now I use a boning knife and follow the seams. My prep time dropped from 15 minutes to 5.

Well, @linda658, I'd say it's more about working hard on the right things, not just finding a shortcut.

But a shortcut can be the right thing. Like using a calculator instead of doing long division by hand. That's not lazy, it's smart. You free up time to work on the actual problem. Hard work matters, but working hard on pointless steps just wastes effort.
