Debate: do you glue up face frames on assembly table or on the bench?

Went to a shop in Portland last week and the old timer there swears by doing face frames on the bench for speed, but half the guys I know say the assembly table keeps everything square. I've had glue creep on the bench and warped a frame once, cost me an hour of sanding. What's your method and why?

Honestly, "keeps everything square" only if your bench isn't dead flat to begin with, but each to their own.

Managed to get my old Craftsman bench level with a trick I picked up from a retired woodworker. He had me shim under the feet with playing cards until the bubble sat perfect in the level. Then I glued some thin rubber pads underneath to keep it from shifting around. It took maybe thirty minutes and cost nothing since I already had the cards and glue. Not fancy, but that bench has stayed true for five years now without any adjustments.
