Had to stop using loose tenons for face frames after 12 years
I switched to pocket holes for my face frames last month after fighting with clamping issues and misaligned joints on my last 6 kitchen jobs in Austin, anyone else find that loose tenons just take too long to dial in?

Yeah I ditched loose tenons for pocket screws too and never looked back, way faster setup.

Had a buddy try switching to pocket screws on a big cabinet job and his first one went in crooked and blew out the back of the board. Took him an hour to fix the tearout and patch the hole. He went right back to loose tenons after that and never touched a pocket screw again. Different strokes I guess but I've seen both sides mess up bad.
