Heard a guy at the lumber yard say he never uses a dado stack for plywood, just routers and multiple passes.
I mean, I get the clean cut argument, but my Freud stack saves me hours on a big cabinet run, so I'm curious if anyone else thinks the extra setup time is worth it for the speed later.

My old boss was the same way, swore by his router table. But man, once you dial in that stack for a production day, you just fly through the dados.

I get what you mean about flying through dados with a stack. But setting up a dado stack feels like half the morning gone if you need to change it. My router table is right there, I swap bits in thirty seconds, and I'm back to work. For one-off cuts or mixed work, the flexibility wins every time.
