I went with Blum soft-close hinges over the cheaper knockoffs for a 12-door kitchen job last month
Yeah they cost me an extra $85 but after fighting with those off-brand hinges on my last three builds that kept losing tension after 6 months, I figure the peace of mind is worth it - has anyone else found a decent budget alternative that actually holds up?

Twelve doors? That's a whole house worth of cabinets just in one kitchen.

Doesn't that just sum up modern homes though? It feels like everything got supersized, kitchens especially. You see a "standard" kitchen in a new build and it's got more cabinets than my whole first apartment had total, lol. A friend of mine bought a place last year and their walk-in pantry is literally bigger than my current bedroom.
