Loading a jobber saw blade wrong cost me 4 sheets of plywood

Got a job in Fresno last month for a full set of built-ins and I tried to rush a cut on my table saw. I put a jobber blade in backwards, didnt even check the teeth direction, and it burned through 4 sheets of 3/4 birch before I caught my mistake. My neighbor who's been doing this for 30 years told me the same thing happened to him at a shop in Bakersfield, so I felt a bit better but it still stung at $85 a sheet. Anyone else ever make a simple blade mistake that cost you real money, or am I just the slow learner here?
