Still think MDF is garbage after that water damage job in a Nashville kitchen

Had to rip out a whole set of custom cabinets I built with MDF after a dishwasher leak turned them into mush, so I've been strictly using plywood for everything ever since, but does anyone else think the added weight and cost is worth it for something that might never get wet?

MDF turned into mush" yeah that's basically just expensive sawdust at that point lol. I've learned the hard way too that saving a few bucks on materials just means crying over a soggy cabinet later.
