Stopped using pre-finished plywood for drawer boxes and saved 40 bucks a sheet

I was blowing through money at the lumber yard until I tried just cutting my own from unfinished birch and spraying lacquer myself. Took an extra hour per cabinet but the savings across a 12-unit kitchen job added up quick. Anyone else make the switch and regret it or stick with it?
