That Tuesday when every hinge fought back and I lost an hour to a 5 cent screw
Last Tuesday in my shop near Tacoma, I had a set of 12 cabinet doors that should have taken me 3 hours. The hinges were the same brand I always use, but every single one felt like it was made on a bad Monday. One screw stripped out before it was even halfway in, another hinge sat crooked three times before I got it straight. By the fourth door I was already on my second coffee and had cussed loud enough that my neighbor knocked to ask if I was okay. Turns out the batch of screws had a manufacturing burr on the threads, so they were catching instead of seating. I swapped to a different box from the same supplier and it was smooth sailing after that. Anyone else ever get a bad batch of something that small and waste a whole morning on it?

Did you check the other boxes from that same batch before trusting them?
