Found a trick for fishing line through insulated walls without snagging

I was fighting with fiberglass insulation on a job in Austin last week and tried using a piece of PVC pipe as a guide sleeve - worked way better than anything I've done before. Has anyone else tried running a conduit or pipe ahead of your fish tape in tricky spots?
