Everyone says replace the whole shutter unit, but cleaning one contact saved me $140
Everyone in the shop keeps saying a dead N80 shutter means a full swap, but I opened one up last Thursday and the real problem was a tiny corroded contact on the flex cable. I hit it with DeoxIT and a fiberglass pen and the thing has fired 200 test frames since. Why do we default to swapping parts when a 10 minute cleaning job does the trick?
