Had a week where three cameras came in with the exact same shutter issue

Honestly, last Tuesday was wild. Three different Nikon F4s walked in the door, all with the exact same sticky shutter curtain problem. One from a photojournalist, one from a hobbyist, and one from a college kid. Never seen that before in five years of doing this. Made me wonder if there was a bad batch of lubricant or something. Has anyone else dealt with a run of identical repairs like that?

All with the exact same sticky shutter curtain problem." That's wild. I had a run of five Canon AE-1s last year, all with the same light seal foam turning to goo. Like they all got together and decided to melt at the same time. Must've been the same roll of foam from the factory back in the day. Makes you wonder about that bad batch theory.
