Just spent 4 hours fixing a stuck film advance on a 1970s Pentax because of one tiny spring
It was hiding under the gear train and I had to take the whole top plate off twice. Anyone else have a simple fix turn into a full rebuild?

That tiny spring sounds like a nightmare.

You're not wrong, @caleb241. That spring is a menace. I spent twenty minutes trying to get it to sit right, and it just kept pinging off into the carpet abyss. I found it stuck to a sock, then behind the leg of my desk. I swear those things are designed to test human patience.
