Noticed a big shift in how customers treat fungus on lenses

Over the last 3 years, I've seen way more people bringing in zoom lenses with internal haze that turns out to be fungus, not just dust or oil. Most of it comes from storing gear in basements or garages, especially after the humid summers we get here in Ohio. Is anyone else seeing this spike, or do you think it's just my area?

Tbh my basement is where lenses go to retire and grow a little mold garden. Ohio humidity plus a dark shelf is basically a free spa day for fungus.
