I finally bought that ultralight tarp everyone raves about

Thought it would rip in the first breeze after 3 nights in Olympic National Park, but that 7 ounce piece of silpoly handled 40 mph gusts fine. Anyone else find the hype actually matched reality on something?

Are silpoly tarps actually holding up better over time compared to silnylon in heavy rain? It sounds like they pack down smaller, but I'm worried about durability on longer trips. How many nights have you put yours through so far?
