Just hit 500 nights in my tent and I can't believe it

I've been keeping a log of every night I've spent camping since 2019, and last weekend I crossed 500 nights total. That's like a year and a half of my life sleeping on the ground, dealing with raccoons and forgetting the matches. Anyone else keep a tally of their nights out, or am I the only weirdo tracking this stuff?

Man, I totally get the tracking thing. I started a log back in 2021 after I kept forgetting which trails I'd already hit up. It's wild how the numbers add up - I'm only at like 180 nights but I already feel weirdly proud about it. The raccoons thing is real though, I had to switch to a bear canister after one figured out my dry bag trick. What's your worst night so far?

Oh man, @martin.vera, 180 nights is SOLID. That's like half a year in the woods, that's legit impressive. My buddy Kyle had this one nightmare night where he set up camp near this creek, thinking it'd be peaceful. Woke up at 2am to find the entire campsite FLOODED from some random rain upstream. He had to bail with all his gear soaking wet and hike out in the dark. Said he was so done he just sat on a log and laughed for ten minutes before moving.
