My $18 tarp from Walmart outlasted a $90 REI one on a windy trip to Moab last week
Went to Moab last week with my brother and his fancy REI tarp ripped at the grommet on night two while my cheap blue Walmart one held fine. We had 30 mph gusts and the REI one just shredded, but the $18 one never even flapped. I'm not saying spend less, but check how the tieouts are stitched before you trust a price tag. What's the most you've paid for a tarp that failed on you?
