My tent choice for a rainy weekend in the Smokies
I was packing for a 3-day trip and got stuck between my old 4-person dome tent and a newer, smaller 2-person model. The forecast said 80% chance of rain, so I went with the smaller one because it has a full-coverage rainfly... the dome tent's fly leaves a gap. It poured all Saturday night, and I stayed completely dry while my buddy in a similar dome tent got a damp sleeping bag. That extra fabric coverage made a real difference. Anyone have a go-to tent for wet weather that isn't a tiny coffin?

So what's the actual brand and model of that smaller tent?

Funny how we always need the exact model name for gear. It shows we want the right tool for the job, not just any random thing. Makes you wonder what else we over-research for no real reason, right?

Is it really over-research or just wanting to know what actually works? Like @thomas_miller28 said, we want the right tool, but sometimes the model number just tells you if it's the old version with the bad zipper. That's useful info, not just being picky.
