Spent $120 on a fancy camp stove and the regulator failed on night 2
Bought a high end two burner stove from a popular brand last month thinking I was upgrading my setup. Got up to a mountain site in Colorado and the flame kept surging and dying. Tried cleaning the jets, checking the line, all the stuff people suggest online. Ended up cooking over a twig fire for dinner like some survivalist. The regulator was dead out of the box. Has anyone else had luck with cheaper stoves holding up better than the pricey ones?

Haven't you ever had that thing happen where the expensive gear craps out on the first real trip? Buddy of mine bought a top shelf stove and the valve started leaking propane all over his truck bed before he even got to the campsite. He swapped it for a cheap Coleman that's been running fine for three years now.
