Bought a $45 megaphone for the rally, now the admin wants a 'permit chat'
Our free speech club finally got a decent megaphone after using a busted one for two semesters. Dropped $45 on a rechargeable model that actually carries across the quad, and it was a game changer during last week's open mic. But now the student affairs office emailed us saying we need to fill out a noise permit form before using it again. I get the decibel rules, but we're not blasting music, just letting people speak. Has anyone else had to deal with admin suddenly caring about sound equipment after you upgraded?
