Faculty speaker got cut off at the mic during Q&A last semester and I was the only one who stayed after

I was in the audience at a campus event in October when a history professor from out of state started getting interrupted by students shouting over him after he mentioned a controversial court case. I stayed behind to talk with him about it while everyone else walked out, and the dean actually asked me later why I didn't support the student walkout. Has anyone else had a moment where you felt like the only person willing to actually listen to the whole argument?

Whoa that takes guts. I read about a similar thing happening at a conference last year.

Yeah @dixon.amy I just kept my mouth shut and let the guy finish, worked out fine.
