Finally got my campus speech group allowed back after a 3 month ban

The student government put restrictions on our free expression table last fall, but after rewriting our guidelines and meeting with the dean twice, they lifted it yesterday. Has anyone else had to negotiate with admin just to hand out flyers? What worked for you?

Oof, I mean I get the struggle but 'free expression table' might be a bit misleading here. Usually those are more like info tables where you hand out materials about your group's views, not necessarily about shouting anything you want in the middle of the quad. Maybe it's just me but I've seen clubs get banned for stuff like playing loud music or blocking walkways, not just for handing out flyers. What did the original guidelines say that got you banned in the first place? Kinda curious how much you had to change to get the okay again.
