That free speech rally at UGA cost me $120 in parking tickets

I drove two hours to Athens to support a speaker getting disinvited, and the campus lot charged me $60 for the day plus I got towed trying to leave. Any else get hit with surprise fees supporting free expression?

Saw the same thing at a different event last month, campus parking is basically a trap to fund their speech police or something. Feels like every time you try to use your free speech, hidden costs pop up out of nowhere.

idk man, it really does feel like they set these traps on purpose. You pay all that tuition and then they nickel and dime you just to park and talk about stuff. Like, if they actually believed in free speech they'd make it easier to show up, not harder. It's almost like they don't want people to participate unless they can pay the hidden fee. Makes you wonder what they're so scared of people hearing.
