Why does nobody talk about the free speech policy that lets one student veto a whole speaker
I was reading through the student handbook at a small college in Ohio last week and found out 8 students on a committee can block any speaker from coming to campus. Not a majority, just 8 out of like 2,000 undergrads. The rule has been in there since 2019 and almost nobody knows it exists. I only found it because a friend on student gov mentioned it offhand. Has anyone else run into a school with a rule like this tucked into the fine print?
