Bought a $60 meal kit box that showed up 3 days late and warm
Ordered from one of those meal delivery services on a Monday for a Tuesday delivery. Showed up Thursday afternoon sitting on my porch in the Florida sun. Ice packs were completely melted and the chicken smelled off. Customer service said sorry but wouldn't refund because it was "delivered within the window." Lost the whole $60 plus my lunch plans for three days. Anyone else get burned by a subscription box that didn't stick to the schedule?

Funny enough, I once paid for a premium dog treat subscription that showed up on my doorstep looking like it had been through a hurricane - box soggy, treats crumbled to dust. Customer service kept saying "it's within the delivery window" too, like that made the spoiled snacks any better. Makes you wonder if these companies even pack things with the actual weather in mind.

Within the delivery window" tho, are you kidding me? That's the go-to excuse for everything now. Did they even bother to check what the inside of that box looked like before saying that? Like, the treats were literally dust, that's not a delivery issue that's a packing issue. Makes me wonder, when you complained did they even ask you for photos of the box or the treats? Or did they just blow you off with the same scripted line? Cause if they didn't ask for proof, that's a huge red flag for how much they actually care about their product getting there in one piece.
