Debate: Did my manager have the right to shut me down at the team meeting?
Last week in a Zoom call for our Seattle office, I called out a major flaw in the new scheduling system that was costing us 40 hours a week in wasted time. My manager cut me off and said 'we're not airing that here,' but two other guys nodded like they agreed. Was it smarter to stay quiet or should I have pushed the issue anyway?

Managers hate being shown up in front of the whole team even when you're right... maybe try pulling him aside one-on-one next time so he can save face and actually listen.

Respectfully disagree @gavin_kim3, saving face is overrated when the whole team already knows he messed up.
