Got a 30 day mute in a local Facebook group for asking where the money went

Our HOA page in Springfield posted that dues were going up $40 a month starting in March, so I asked in the comments for a simple breakdown of where that money goes. Post got deleted in about 10 minutes and an admin sent me a message saying my tone was "divisive." I screenshotted the whole thing and started a plain email thread with 11 neighbors instead, and we got the actual budget in 3 days. Has anyone else had better luck going around a group admin to get real answers?
