Got muted in a parenting group for saying my 4 year old walks to the park alone

Last Wednesday in the Maplewood Moms Facebook group, a mom asked if anyone lets their kid walk to the park solo, and I said my 4 year old does the two block trip to Hartley Park by himself. The admin muted me for 7 days and sent a message saying my post "could be seen as promoting unsafe care." I tried to reply with the fact that I watch him from the porch the whole time, but it wouldn't go through. What changed my mind was my neighbor Deb, who is 71 and grew up two streets over, saying she did the same walk at age 5 back in 1962 and nobody blinked. I always thought the group was mostly chill, but I now think the admins are scared of one complaint and will silence anything that sounds risky. Has anyone else been muted or banned for a parenting choice that was normal 30 years ago?
