Got told to 'quiet down' at a library exhibit about free speech

Last Tuesday I went to that new display at the downtown branch about banned newspapers, and I pointed out how one headline was actually pretty mild compared to what they post online... a volunteer shushed me and said I was 'disrupting the vibe'. Has anyone else been told to pipe down somewhere that's literally about speaking your mind?
