My comment about a local bridge project got removed from the town Facebook page

Last Tuesday, I posted that the new roundabout design seemed to ignore traffic data from the last three years. I linked to the public county reports showing a 40% increase in truck traffic on that route. The admin deleted it within an hour, saying it 'wasn't constructive' and to take it to a town hall meeting instead. In my experience, those meetings are scheduled when most people are at work. Has anyone else had a local group shut down what felt like a pretty basic factual discussion?

The county traffic reports are public record, so that's weird. Our town hall last month was at 2pm on a Tuesday.

Wait, that IS super weird. Public records should be easy to get. Maybe they're trying to hide something about the road work? A 2pm Tuesday meeting feels like they don't want regular people to show up.

Yeah but I mean, not everything is a conspiracy you know? Sometimes stuff just gets lost in the shuffle or someone forgot to update the website. And honestly a 2pm Tuesday meeting doesn't seem that weird to me, a lot of retirees and work-from-home folks can make that work. Plus if they really wanted to hide something they'd probably pick a more obscure time or location, not just the afternoon. I feel like people jump to "they're hiding something" way too fast when it could just be a boring mistake.
