My manager ordered me to use his template, then blamed me for the numbers

Last quarter my boss made me use his exact spreadsheet format for the client report. I told him the formulas were double counting the overtime hours, but he said just do it his way. Two days later the client found the error and my boss threw me under the bus in the team meeting. I wanted to say I warned him, but I definitely couldn't say that in front of everyone. Has anyone else had to eat a mistake you knew was coming because a supervisor overruled you?
