Went from nodding along to actually speaking up, took 2 years and a bad review

I used to just agree with everything in team meetings. Even when I knew the plan was shaky. Then last August a client in Phoenix left us a 2-star review because I didn't warn them about a delay I saw coming. That stung. Now I say the thing, politely but clearly. It's awkward at first but nobody's shouted at me yet. Has anyone else had one bad moment flip a switch like that?
