Can we talk about the $150 trick that got my car shipped to Portland in 3 days
I had a car sitting in Phoenix and every quote I got was $900 or more with a 2 week wait. So I called a small broker in Arizona and asked if he had any trucks deadheading back to the northwest. He found one leaving the next morning and I paid $150 plus fuel to get it on board. The car showed up in Portland in 3 days instead of 14, and the driver even texted me a pic at a rest stop in Redding. Has anyone else had luck asking about empty return loads instead of just booking the first quote?
