Door-to-door vs terminal shipping price gap surprised me in Dallas
I quoted a Tucson to Dallas move last month and door-to-door was $1,150 while terminal pickup was only $740. The difference came down to the driver needing a full-size truck to reach my neighborhood with low trees. Has anyone else seen that big a jump just for residential access?
Wait, so the $410 difference is basically for tree trimming and street width? Did they actually send a smaller truck first and it couldn't get back there, or was that just their upfront excuse for the extra charge?
