Rant: everyone says call the broker, but booking straight with a carrier saved me $350
Moving my Tacoma from Denver to Austin last month, three brokers quoted me $1,100 to $1,250 and all wanted a deposit before they'd even find a truck. I called a small carrier out of Pueblo direct, got it picked up in 2 days for $780, and the driver texted me photos at every stop. Has anyone else skipped the middleman, or did I just get lucky with this one?
