Two weeks of runaround for a missing title in Phoenix

Sold a car to a buyer in Phoenix and the broker swore the title was overnighted, but it sat in limbo for 14 days because their clerk never scanned the barcode. Has anyone else had a shipper blame a scanning error while your buyer's patience runs out?

That clerk being the only step between a sold car and a valid title is wild to me. Did the broker ever show you proof it was actually scanned on their end before they blamed the clerk, or was that just their excuse after the fact? Because 14 days is a LONG time for nobody to notice a missing scan. And what did your buyer end up doing, did they actually stick around or did they start threatening to back out? That missing barcode sounds like a pretty cheap problem that turned into a HUGE hassle for you. Probably worth asking if that broker even has a backup person who checks the daily scan logs.
