Appreciation post: My boss finally said yes to a 4 day workweek trial

After 3 months of pushing for it, I got the green light last Friday to test a compressed schedule with my design team in Austin, and honestly just having that email in writing felt like a bigger win than any client project I've closed this year has anyone else found that getting a yes on flexibility matters more than the money sometimes?

Hell yeah that's awesome! Getting that approval in writing is such a relief, I fought for a 4 day schedule with my old crew for months and when it finally went through it felt better than any bonus I ever got.

Four months of fighting? Man, I would have lost my mind waiting that long (my patience is basically zero for stuff like that). You must have a serious backbone though, because most people I know would have just given up after a few weeks and taken the L. I'm honestly shocked your old crew held out that long against the reasonable request. A 4 day schedule is literally life changing and I'm glad you got it locked down in writing too (that's the part most people forget to do).
