Figured out I was wasting time on cover letters
After 40 applications with custom cover letters and zero callbacks, I just sent a 1 paragraph note for a warehouse supervisor role and got an interview the next day. Has anyone else found that shorter is actually better?

Used to be a firm believer in the two-page cover letter, but your experience lines up with what I've started seeing. Short and direct seems to work better for getting your foot in the door.

Companies don't read past the first paragraph half the time anyway. I heard from a buddy who hires people that he skips straight to the bullet points these days. One page, a few strong sentences, and let your resume do the heavy lifting. Way less time wasted on both sides.
