I finally asked my old boss why he never promoted me, and his answer still bugs me
Two years after I left that job in Austin, I ran into him at a coffee shop and just asked. He said I was "too good at my job to move up," like that was a real reason to keep someone stuck at $47k. Has anyone else heard that one, and did you ever figure out what to do with it?
